To all parishioners,
As per the Archdiocese of Toronto Directive, all public Masses have been cancelled until further notice.

His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins has granted dispensation from Sunday obligation for all residents in the Diocese of Toronto.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ....

During this Lenten season, we find ourselves in the midst of a pandemic. We are all socially distancing and self-isolating. We are all wondering where this is all going to end and anxious about the future.  ow can Lent help us understand these unprecedented times?

Pope Francis’s Prayer to Mary

(for protection from the coronavirus)

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.  At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.  We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.  Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us:  He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.  We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.  Do not despise our pleas- we who are put to the test- and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Re:                 Scam Alert
Please be advised that we are once again receiving calls from priests indicating that parishioners are receiving requests, purportedly from the pastor, for iTunes gift cards, either by text or email.
In addition, there are reports of a variety of COVID-19 scams cropping up, including one where people call or visit homes trying to sell "COVID-19 testing kits."
Please use the appropriate channels to advise your parishioners to exercise caution when checking email messages, taking phone calls or responding to those at the door. Think before you click or open attachments, and always verify suspect messages by phoning the sender on a known phone number (not the phone number in the suspect message).

Thanks for your continued cooperation.

St. David’s Parish has not cancelled any sacrament dates at this time.

We have already cancelled the Confirmation test on March 26th and the First Communion meetings scheduled for March 31st and April 2nd (coinciding with school closures until April 5th.

If dates are extended, we will make changes accordingly.)

As there are many uncertainties, we will announce any future necessary cancellations as we receive updates from authorities.

Should we need to cancel sacrament dates, we will advise parents by email, parish bulletin and our website.

Please rest assured that children who have already registered, and have prepared and completed our sacrament preparation programs will receive their sacraments as soon as they can be given.
