In today’s Gospel Jesus takes three disciples up a high mountain to pray. There, He is transformed; Moses and Elijah appear with Him. The voice of the Father is heard declaring Jesus to be His Son and that we are to “Listen to Him.” The message of the Gospel is clear; we need to open our minds and hearts to the possibility of God’s voice. Open your mind and heart to His presence.
This weekend we kick off the 2015 ShareLife campaign, in support of all the Catholic social agencies of our archdiocese. A special second collection (the first of three) will be taken up at all the Masses. Many of you will have received a mailing at home, but there are also envelopes available at the church entrance. After all these years, we all know how important ShareLife is to those in need. God has blessed us with so much; let’s share with those who have less.
